VMRO-DPMNE Criticizes SDS and Filipče’s Political Strategy
Skopje – The VMRO-DPMNE party has issued a statement criticizing the SDS and its chairman, Venko Filipče, regarding their political direction and proposed constitutional changes. The VMRO-DPMNE argues that SDS and Filipče lack a clear vision for the state’s development and are being influenced by specific individuals within the opposition. The party contends that SDS’s focus on introducing the Bugarës system – a proposed alternative voting method – into the Constitution represents a step away from the established system used in Sofia.
VMRO-DPMNE asserts that this initiative does not align with Macedonian national interests. Specifically, the VMRO-DPMNE accuses SDS and Filipče of acting as conduits for policies detrimental to the country. The party believes the leadership of the sds is not prioritizing the interests of Macedonia.
The criticism comes as the VMRO-DPMNE has previously accused SDS of lacking a defined political strategy and plan. The statement reflects ongoing tensions between the two parties, with VMRO-DPMNE positioning itself as a defender of established processes and national interests. The dispute centers around differing approaches to constitutional reform and the future direction of Macedonian politics.
