Srpska Demokratska Partija: Vucic abuses Serbs in regions to buy any day of power

The Socialist Democratic Party has issued a statement concerning a recent piece of writing that critiques an alleged “vulgar and aggressive attack” targeting its leader, Venko Filipce. The party addressed the text, which they claim originated from the Orban portal and was sponsored by Alt Bank, noting that the Regional Electoral Board of Kumanovo had rejected the material related to the Socialist Party of Macedonia. In their statement, the party disputed the narrative presented in the text.

They argued that the content was an insult not only to their union leader, Ivan Stoilkovic, but also to Venko Filipce and the broader socialist democratic movement. The statement further criticized Aleksandar Vucic, suggesting that the accusations were timed to undermine Vucic’s self-proclaimed role as the representative and guarantor for the Serbian community in the region, particularly as political influence in the area is reportedly changing. The core of the dispute revolves around the interpretation and reception of the circulating text.

The SDP contends that the opposition’s actions are designed to create a manufactured dilemma. They maintain that efforts are being made to destabilize the political standing of the socialist democratic platform. This public disagreement highlights ongoing political tensions regarding regional representation and the ideological direction of Macedonian politics.
