The Municipality of Kičevo has issued a public notice prohibiting the use of drinking water from six local water supply sources. This directive stems from a decision issued by the Food and Veterinary Agency (FVA). The ban was implemented following laboratory physical-chemical and microbiological analyses of the drinking water, which were conducted by the JZU Central for Public Health – Bitola.
Until a new official decision is obtained, the use of water from the following six specific supply points is prohibited: the rural water supply in Garaň (at the municipal well); the public well in Drugovó (at the municipal division point); the public well named “Bela Kula” in Kičevo; the rural water supply in Streltsi (at the “Milto Gura” school); the rural water supply in Šutovo (at the “Milto Gura” location); and the rural water supply in Šušovo (also at the “Milto Gura” location). Residents are advised to adhere strictly to this prohibition. The measures are in place to ensure public safety regarding the quality of the water.
Authorities have mandated this temporary ban across multiple sources until comprehensive testing confirms that the drinking water meets all required health standards.
