Cyberattack Exposes Novo Nordisk Data, Ransom Demand Issued

Copenhagen – Novo Nordisk, the global pharmaceutical giant, is responding to a significant cyberattack following the theft of over one terabyte of data. The company has announced a demand for $25 million from the cybercriminal group, FulcrumSec, to secure the compromised information. FulcrumSec, a newly formed cybernetic group slated for launch in October 2025, has publicly attributed the breach to activity spanning over two months.

According to information released on the group’s website, the stolen data encompasses a substantial amount of sensitive information related to Novo Nordisk. Specifically, the group claims to have accessed the company’s source code, detailed clinical information concerning both launched and un-launched drugs, extensive clinical trial data, and records pertaining to employees, physicians, and patients. Furthermore, FulcrumSec asserts they obtained data related to Novo Nordisk’s production processes.

The company has not yet released a statement regarding its intentions regarding the ransom demand. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
