The main square of the city of Kavadardzi has undergone a comprehensive revitalization, culminating in the completely reconstructed public space. This major infrastructure project was completed at a cost of 49 million dinars, transforming the area into a modern recreational and sporting hub designed for all age groups. The scope of the renovation was extensive, encompassing the overhaul of the entire square complex.
Key improvements include the installation of a new filtration and water purification system, alongside the reconstruction of both large and small basins. New amenities added to the square feature dedicated water attractions, toboggans, and specialized children’s water equipment. Furthermore, the area benefits from a modern children’s playground, a fully renovated roof structure, and updated shower facilities.
Financially, the project demonstrated significant resource management. In addition to the primary investment, the revitalization effort resulted in the safeguarding of 30,141,432 dinars from the Ministry of Sport, sourced from the Republic of Macedonia’s government funds, which are earmarked for the second infrastructure project call. The remaining necessary funds were secured by the Municipality of Kavadardzi, ensuring the successful completion of this vital civic improvement.
