Sait Saitov Extradited from Serbia to Macedonia Following Arrest Warrant

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Macedonia has announced the extradition of Sait Saitov, a 19-year-old from Skopje, from Serbia. The arrest warrant, issued on January 12th, led to his return to Macedonia following a coordinated effort between the two countries’ Ministries of Justice. Sait is currently under a measure of house arrest, implemented within the Skopje prison, pending further legal proceedings.

He is wanted in connection with multiple criminal cases. These include charges related to “against the safety of the person and the property,” “failure to help a wounded person,” and “failure to report a crime.” Specifically, the cases stem from an incident occurring on January 9, 2026, in the Kapistoc neighborhood of Skopje. The extradition process unfolded following Sait’s arrest in Belgrade in February.

The Ministry of the Interior facilitated the handover to ensure compliance with the existing arrest warrant and subsequent detention procedures. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the cases involving sait in skopje. The Ministry’s involvement was crucial in securing his return and initiating the legal process.
