CU: 15 fires have been registered until 6 pm, 10 of which have been extinguished, 5 of which are still active

The Centaur for crisis management has issued its latest advisory regarding the ongoing open-air fires across Macedonia. Authorities have identified a total of 15 incidents. Of these, ten fires have been successfully extinguished, while five remain under active management.

The active fire situations are spread across several specific areas. In the Vasilevo area, five active fires are reported, primarily affecting fields containing grass, straw, and wild deposits. Another location of concern is Kichevo, where a fire has impacted a straw field near the village of Zaiaz.

Furthermore, the Kawadarci area, situated between Raec and Kenesrdre, is experiencing fires that have consumed low-growing grass and straw. In the Tepce area, the village of Tepce has reported fires that have burned surrounding fields, straw, and grass. In the Prilep area, the fire at Trzasla Teke has been extinguished, though a local depot sustained damage.

The remaining active fires are spreading in three distinct locations: near the village of Marko’s Kul, around the church of the Virgin Mary, and around the Trbovlje, which houses the church of St. George. In summary, while five fires are currently under control, the incidents highlight significant agricultural and wildland impacts across the region.

The coordination effort continues to monitor these fires, which pose ongoing risks to local property and vegetation within the specified areas.
