VMRO-DPMNE warned that Filipče is preparing new national coups to come to power

VMRO-DPMNE Raises Concerns Regarding Potential Electoral Actions

Skopje – The VMRO-DPMNE party issued a statement on June 24, 2026, expressing concerns about potential preparations for renewed national actions aimed at gaining power. The statement followed accusations leveled by the VMRO-DPMNE regarding the intentions of Filipče, the leader of the SDSM party. The accusations center around claims that Filipče is contemplating reversing the results of recent elections, a move the VMRO-DPMNE characterizes as detrimental and a disregard for the will of the Macedonian people.

The party asserts that guarantees and national positions require defense, rather than potential reversals. In response, the official Bugarija daily has refuted these allegations. Simultaneously, the president of the SDSM, Venko Filipče, has remained silent on the matter, attempting to allay public concerns.

The VMRO-DPMNE also questioned the significant expenditure of campaign funds, suggesting it represents a concerning trend. The party’s statement further alleges that the SDSM and its leader are exhibiting a pattern of conceding to the current regime. The VMRO-DPMNE has repeatedly voiced condemnation of the elections as unjust and negatively impacting Macedonia.

This situation remains under observation as political tensions persist within the country.
