Skopje to Host Parade of Goodwill Alongside Human Rights Demonstration

Skopje will host the annual Parade of Goodwill on January 1st, commencing at the “Lotus” fountain within City Park and concluding in the “Woman Fighter” park. The event, a traditional New Year’s celebration, will be combined with a planned demonstration advocating for human rights, equality, and a dignified life for the LGBT+ community. Organizers have mapped a route for the parade that begins in City Park and proceeds along Iliнден Boulevard, continuing on Franklin Roosevelt Boulevard and Partisan Odredi Boulevard to the intersection with Vasil Glavov Street.

Simultaneously, a separate group of students will march along Dimitrie Chichivadori Street, ultimately reaching the location of 11 October Street. Traffic management will be implemented along the parade route to ensure public safety. Authorities have confirmed that standard traffic regulations will be enforced during the event, which is expected to draw a significant crowd to the park and surrounding areas of Skopje.

The combined event represents a focal point for community engagement and advocacy on January 1st.
