New Route Planned Connecting Trebenishte to Struga and Kafanas
The Ministry of Transport announced plans for a new route connecting Trebenishte to Struga and the Kafanas area, with construction slated to conclude in the UESKO region. The project’s initial construction between Trebenishte and Kafanas remains incomplete. Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikolovski has finalized the route’s design, which will be overseen and approved by him.
He stated that while decisions regarding the UESKO segment presented challenges, a determination is expected by the end of June or late July. The Ministry confirmed that Nikolovski has resolved to proceed with the route’s development and assess its suitability. The focus will be on evaluating the proposed path to ensure it meets necessary criteria.
“We will fight to choose the route and determine whether it is good,” Nikolovski explained. The timeline anticipates a final decision on construction by the end of June or late July, contingent upon the evaluation of the route’s feasibility. The new route will ultimately connect Trebenishte to Struga and the numerous kafanas in the area.
