MTF “Vojdan Černođrenski” Festival Concludes with Award Recognition in Prilep

The 60th annual “Vojdan Černođrenski” MTF (Macedonian Theatre Festival) concluded successfully in Prilep, North Macedonia, featuring a three-part live broadcast of the event. The festival showcased a range of performances and garnered significant recognition within the theatrical community. Dejan Projkovski was awarded the “best direction” prize for his production of “Crnilata” (Ink), presented at the “Vojdan Černođrenski” theater in Prilep.

The event awarded a total of 15 prizes, though four remained unpresented. A celebratory dinner is scheduled for June 19th at the Centaur for Culture “Marko Cepenkov” in Prilep, where the awards will be formally presented to the laureates. Notably, the evening will also include the premiere of “Crno zlato,” a performance directed by Oliver Frljić and based on the work of the late Dejan Dukovski, marking the 20th anniversary of his death.

The premiere was announced for June 12, 2026, at 4:58 PM. The festival highlighted the continued importance of the MTF and the legacy of Vojdan Černođrenski. The best performances were recognized, solidifying the event’s place as a key celebration of Macedonian theatre.
