Severe weather, recorded with heavy rain, caused a great material damage in the town of Žeta, which is located in the region of Halozë. The mayor of Žeta, Matjaž Kopše, said that around 50 vehicles were activated during the night, and according to preliminary information, two state and one municipal bridge were destroyed, as well as commercial infrastructure. He also pointed out that more vehicles and commercial objects were damaged.
The relevant services, civil protection, firefighting units, evacuation teams and municipal administration are already on the ground and are assessing the measures taken to ensure the safety of the population and to restore the damaged infrastructure. The Slovene agency STA has also issued an appeal to the citizens to be particularly careful.
