A moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 on the Richter scale occurred on the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC). The event, recorded on June 16, 2026, was centered approximately 43 kilometers inland from Palu, Central Sulawesi. The earthquake’s epicenter was located at a depth of 10 kilometers.
