REPORTED NUMBER OF MONTHLY TRANSACTIONS – Over 10 billion euros in exchange, growth from imports over exports

Macedonia’s international trade turnover has demonstrated consistent growth, according to recent statistics. During the first half of the year, the country’s exports saw an increase of 10 billion euros. Furthermore, the export figures for July alone rose by 17.2%.

Data from the taxpayers indicate that Macedonian companies are increasing their export activities, with exports showing a rise of 19.1 percentage points. This represents a year-on-year growth rate of 16% in overall trade turnover. The balance between exports and imports is positive, with the coverage of exports exceeding 70%.

This suggests favorable trends within the overland trade sector. Examining the first six months of the year, the total trade turnover recorded a substantial increase of 7.8%. Specifically, exports grew by 8%, while imports increased by 7.7%.

Consequently, the coverage ratio of exports relative to imports reached 71.3%. These figures collectively point to expanding international commerce, with the overall trade activity remaining robust.
