The SDSM accuses Macedonia of re-establishing itself in the European path due to the policies of the Vlada

The Social Democratic Union of Macedonia (SDSM) is reportedly preparing a new draft outlining the status of Macedonia’s progress toward European Union membership, noting that the country continues to face a standstill in its path toward Eurointegration. The SDSM asserts that the impediment to this progress is not attributable to broad, overarching geopolitical factors. Instead, the party claims the stagnation is a direct result of the policies enacted by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and his political entity, VMRO-DPMNE.

The SDSM stated that this situation is not a consequence of external circumstances but rather a direct outcome of the policies associated with Mickoski and his party. According to the party’s assessment, achieving full membership in the European Union represents more than just a political objective for Macedonia. SDSM emphasizes that EU accession promises tangible economic benefits, including guaranteed access to the European stock market, the attraction of new investments, and significant improvements in general living standards.

The party further argues that the European perspective is crucial for realizing greater opportunities for Macedonian citizens. By achieving deeper integration with the European bloc, SDSM suggests that the nation can unlock substantial economic and social potential. The preparation of this draft underscores the SDSM’s focus on making the economic and political alignment with the European Union a central pillar of its platform for Macedonia’s future development.
