North Macedonian Assembly to Continue Session, Key Elections Proposed
The North Macedonian Assembly will continue its current session for a period of 104 days, according to the established agenda. A central focus of the session involves the upcoming election of a member to the Supreme Council of the Republic, a decision to be made by a vote of the Assembly’s ambassadors. The Electoral Commission has proposed a race between two qualified legal professionals: Artim Islam, a lawyer with experience from Struga, and Feuzije Ðafere, a lawyer with experience from Čajle, Gostivar.
Both candidates are considered eligible for the position. Furthermore, the agenda includes a first reading of a Proposal for a law on joint and simultaneous prosecution, submitted by ambassadors Ziadin Selah, Ilir Daut, and Elmi Aziri representing the Albanian League. The session will also address the necessary procedures for the dismissal of the current ambassadors.
The continued work of the assembly is crucial for the progression of these key legislative proposals, including the selection of a new member to the Supreme Council.
