During an interview with Macedonian Radio-Television, Hristo Misko, President of the Vlatadun Foundation, provided an update on his two-year tenure, highlighting the ongoing development of critical national infrastructure, including the parallel construction of six autobahns across Macedonia. Misko addressed the financial status of major projects, specifically mentioning the Kichevo-Ohrid route. He stated that the project has been successfully closed on a financially sound basis this year.
According to Misko, this achievement was made possible through the involvement of domestic banks, citing “project 8 and project 10d” as key contributors. He attributed this success thanks to the participation of these local financial institutions. Regarding the project’s ongoing financial structure, Misko noted a strategic pivot toward international markets.
He indicated that the foundation is currently awaiting overdue payments from international lenders. The core objective of these efforts, Misko asserted, is to ensure that the capital derived from the citizens remains secured and available upon the final completion of all infrastructure endeavors.
