A public tender was initiated for the provision of 150 electric buses and 75 accompanying charging stations, intended for full operational capacity. Bids were received from various international companies, representing origins including Turkey, China, and Hungary. Participating entities included those associated with Xyamine Golden Dragon bus, JES-EU DENMARK A/S Jutoung, BMZ Otomotiv Saavity with Tizzait Anonymous Sirkketi, and the consortium of Ikarus Electric together with EWN.
The procurement process utilized an electronic auction format. Following the evaluation of the submissions, the Commission for Public Supplies determined that two companies met the necessary criteria for participation in the electronic auction: BMZ Otomotiv Saavity with Tizzait Anonymous Sirkketi, and Ikarus Electric together with EWN. During the structured bidding process, Ikarus Electric, in partnership with EWN, submitted the lowest bid.
This performance established them as the most preferred tenderer for the required electric bus supply. The outcome of the electronic auction confirms that the bid submitted by Ikarus Electric and EWN was the lowest recorded price, securing their status as the preferred bidder for the substantial supply contract.
