The Center for Crisis Management reported that over the preceding 24 hours, a total of 25 open-air fires were registered across the state’s territory. According to the center, the current status of these incidents includes two fires that remain active, one fire that is currently under control, and 22 incidents that have been completely extinguished. Active fire situations were reported in several areas.
Specifically, incidents were noted in Gorna Lisičë and Opština Aerodrom, where the blazes involved low vegetation, trees, and pine forests. Additionally, an active fire was reported on the outskirts of Kriva Palanka, which resulted in the destruction of a local depot. The center confirmed that one of the active fires was brought under control during the morning hours.
Significant mitigation efforts were also reported concerning the extinguishing of blazes. This morning, fires were successfully extinguished across numerous municipalities within Skopje, including Gazibaba, Hrčak Petrov, Sopište, Aračiovo, Studenčičani, and Karposh. Furthermore, successful containment efforts were reported in multiple other locations, including Novač, Dolneni, Prizren, Čaška, Veles, Roso Man, Struga, Lipkovo, Vrapčište, and Ž.
These continuous operations highlight the ongoing management of the various fires across the national territory.
