BUM VO TOURISM OD 200 PERCENT, STANTS THE END OF THE MATERZIMOT

Culture and Tourism Minister Zoran Ljutkov provided an overview of the significant developments within the national tourism sector, detailing the progress achieved over the past two years and the recent months since the Ministry assumed oversight of the industry. A key indicator of the sector’s growth is the substantial increase in allocated funding. According to data from the Agency for Promotion and Support of Tourism in 2025, the budget dedicated to the industry has risen dramatically.

The funding increased from 58 million dinars in 2023 to 186 million dinars for the current year, representing a growth exceeding 200 percent. Ljutkov emphasized that these financial improvements are supported by aggressive market development strategies. The Ministry has successfully opened new international markets, achieving these goals through close collaboration with private sector partners.

Furthermore, the country maintained a strong international presence by participating in various roadshows and B2B meetings across key European nations, including Germany, Spain, and Finland. A notable success during these engagements was the “New Deal of Europe” initiative, which proved particularly effective during events held in London. Looking forward, the Minister outlined preparatory activities and intensive communication efforts targeting tour operators from Holland and Poland.

These ongoing initiatives underscore the commitment to sustaining and expanding the nation’s position within the global tourism market.
