The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that its air defense systems successfully recorded a significant number of incoming aerial threats originating from Ukraine during the night spanning from Thursday to Friday. Authorities stated that the defense forces detected and tracked 660 drones, marking what the Ministry described as one of the largest recorded incidents of the ongoing conflict. According to the official statement, the attacks targeted numerous areas across the Russian Federation.

Over a dozen regions were impacted by the drone activity, with reports confirming strikes in key areas, including the Moscow region, the Crimean Peninsula, and locations within the Black and Azov Seas. In Moscow, local officials provided a specific account of the defensive efforts. Mayor Sergey Sobinin announced that at least 47 drones were intercepted within the boundaries of the main city.

Furthermore, Sobinin confirmed that specialized personnel from special services were actively investigating multiple sites where unidentified materials were recovered following the drone activity. The high volume of recorded incursions underscores the scale of the aerial activity reported by Russian defense sources. These reports detail continuous efforts by Russian air defenses to counter incoming Ukrainian drone swarms.

The Ministry emphasized the comprehensive nature of the defense operations across Russian territory, confirming that the sheer number of threats recorded presented a major operational challenge for security forces.
