Former Oncology Clinic Directors Receive Parole, Face Financial Guarantees
Nikola Vasev, former director of the Oncology Clinic, has completed a one-year prison sentence following his conviction. As part of his sentencing, Vasev was placed on parole for a period of one year, during which he was required to provide a guarantee of 500,000 euros. This stipulation was in addition to the original sentence.
Alongside Vasev, former Oncology Clinic directors Nino Vasev and Neka Nohi also served their sentences and were granted parole. To secure their release, the two individuals were mandated to provide a guarantee related to a non-movable property with a value exceeding 500,000 euros. The Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of Skopje ruled on June 19, 2026, at 10:14 a.m., granting the parole request for both Nikola Vasev and Neka Nohi.
The positive response from the accused was a factor in the court’s decision. Vasev’s specific guarantee was set at 183,981 euros. The case involved significant financial obligations for the former clinic directors as they transitioned from incarceration back into the community.
