In the first five months of 2026, the two Macedonian airports have processed a total of 1.58 million passengers, which represents growth of 31.2% compared to the previous year. So far, the number of operations has reached 10,595. According to ACI Europe’s April 2026 report, North Macedonia has recorded growth in passenger traffic of 30.6% compared to the European markets, which is above the European Union.
Albania has recorded growth of 25.3% and Moldova of 24.6%. The General Director of TAV Macedonia, Nedjat Kurt, stated that these results confirm the growth-inducing factor and the tremendous attractiveness of the country as a tourist and business destination.
