The Mayor of Skopje, Orce Gjorgjievski, announced on June 29, 2026, that the city would support the enhancement of public transportation services near the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MAMU). During the visit, he stated that Skopje intends to provide support for the necessary improvements to the public transport system. Accompanying the Mayor during the inspection was the President of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Academician Gjorgjievski.
Both officials toured the public transport areas surrounding the academy’s premises. Reiterating the city’s commitment, Mayor Gjorgjievski affirmed that Skopje will back the modernization efforts for the public transport network.
