In response to the escalating situation, the city of Wenjow, situated near the border of Fuzhou, activated over 1,500 reservoirs for immediate emergency use. Neighboring Fujiang implemented significant evacuation measures, relocating 98,900 people from zones deemed high risk.
The scale of the response was particularly notable in Shangga. Authorities moved 215,600 people from areas classified as risky. This figure represents a substantial increase compared to previous records, which stood at 30,300 people.
