JESHKO T BRAN GIPO TELEFONIJA NA ITNATA POOMASH – The citizens are dying from the high temperatures

The ITN medical help hotline continues to receive a significant volume of calls, registering over 200 calls daily. These services are frequently mobilized to assist individuals who have collapsed in public areas or whose conditions have deteriorated at home. According to Daniel Georgievski of the ITN medical assistance unit, emergency medical teams are consistently activated to provide necessary aid to those most affected.

Mr. Georgievski noted that the frequency of interventions related to hot weather currently exceeds typical levels observed during other times of the year. He specified that the emergency medical interventions managed by the unit involve handling collapses occurring between three and five times daily, with the volume remaining high.

The calls received from citizens frequently cite symptoms such as general discomfort, nausea, elevated body temperature, and signs of heat stroke. The medical staff reported that despite the high volume of incidents, the teams are often successful in providing critical care and saving lives. The continuous operation of the help lines underscores the ongoing public health need for rapid medical response during periods of extreme heat.

These daily reports confirm the sustained demand for emergency services to manage heat-related illnesses and acute medical episodes within the community.
