ABC News reported that firefighters discovered the bodies of six children, aged five to fifteen, along with their parents, within the Ottawa Sheriff’s office. According to statements from the office, the family members succumbed to gunshot wounds. The subsequent investigation has revealed disturbing details regarding the circumstances of the deaths.

Findings indicate that Christopher Carroll, aged 47, died by suicide, while the deaths of his wife, Amanda, 39, and the six children have been classified as homicide. The biological parents of the children were not identified. Among the deceased victims were four boys, aged 5, 11, 12, and 15, and two girls, both aged 11.

It was noted that four of the children were biological, and two were adopted. The magnitude of the loss is described as a scene of profound horror. The gravity of the situation has left the community deeply saddened.

Jack Sparks, Captain from the Sheriff’s office, announced that a collection has been organized to support the family amidst this unspeakable tragedy.
