The Ministry of Internal Affairs has reported that the national crime rate has reached its lowest level within the last two decades. Furthermore, the total crime rate has seen a notable decrease of 30 percent over the past two years. Officials attribute this trend to increased efficiency in the detection of criminal cases and the successful apprehension of 69% of identified offenders.
In combating organized criminal activity, authorities have dismantled more than 30 such groups. A significant focus has been placed on corruption, resulting in a 50% increase in the number of dismantled groups linked to illicit financial activities. The efforts against drug trafficking remain a primary focus.
In this area, 1,600 criminal cases have been initiated, involving approximately 1,900 individuals. Authorities have successfully seized 6.2 tons of narcotic drugs and intercepted nine international shipments of marijuana and cocaine.
