VMRO-DPMNE: Macedonia will become a good place to live, but without new attacks on identity issues

The ruling VMRO-DPMNE party has stated that it will not make concessions regarding the national identity aspects of the Euro-integrationist path. The party affirmed its commitment to improving the living conditions within Macedonia but cautioned that it would not accept further compromises on the path to EU membership if those concessions led to repeated disappointment. Maintaining a stance of fairness, the VMRO-DPMNE asserted that national ideology should not devolve into hatred or pessimism that fuels opposition.

The party referenced the historical struggles of previous generations, citing the Ilinden Uprising, the Second World War, and the initial assembly of ASNOM in 1944, to emphasize a sense of historical continuity. Furthermore, VMRO-DPMNE suggested that the current generation of politicians must adopt a more responsible approach. They emphasized that the primary national objective must be the establishment of economic prosperity and justice across the country.

The party framed this shared goal as a source of collective pride for all citizens of Macedonia.
