The Macedonian State Automobile Patrol (AMSM) has reported adjustments to border crossing procedures, noting that while border police personnel are restricted from entering or exiting the country, the intensity of border passage has been reduced. At the border crossing located in the village of Tabanovce, travelers should anticipate a waiting time of approximately 40 minutes to an hour for both entry into and exit from the country. A similar waiting period, estimated between 40 minutes and an hour, has been reported for the border crossing in Bogorodica.
However, the AMSM indicated that remaining border crossings are experiencing shorter waiting times. This increased frequency of traffic is attributed by officials to the heightened schedule associated with the weekend and a substantial volume of passport holders traveling from neighboring nations. Separately, related to increased road traffic, the toll structure is undergoing adjustments.
Specifically, the toll fees are set to increase during the month of June. This adjustment is implemented due to the anticipated higher number of passengers utilizing the roadways. Travelers are advised to be aware of these changes regarding the border crossing procedures and potential toll increases associated with increased passenger volume.
