Protests in Albania against the construction of luxury resorts in Zvernec, near Vlorë, have caused concern in the tourism sector. According to the president of the Tourism Association, Raman Kasaj, foreign tourists have increasingly refused to book or be cautious about choosing Albania as a destination for their summer holidays. – The recent incidents have had a significant impact on the number of sold tourist packages so far.
We have had refusals from reservations from Slovakia, Germany and other countries – said Kasaj for Top Channel. He added that if the form of the march is peaceful, the protests have a negative impact on the tourism industry, and the number of sold tourist packages has decreased, while customers of the world tour operators are concerned.
