A 28-year-old male died after colliding with overgrown grass while collecting from school. The Ministry of Interior reported that the young man passed away in the hospital. According to the Ministry of Interior, on July 13, 2026, at 2:20 PM, M.L., aged 28, from the village of Sedlarevo, was admitted to the emergency department in Debar.
The incident occurred in the area of the village of Gorno Melnichani, Debar. The Ministry stated that the man had collided with overgrown grass. Following the collision, he was transported by an ambulance from the Emergency Services to the “St.
Erazm” Hospital in Ohrid. However, en route to the hospital, the ambulance reportedly suffered a collapse, and the death was confirmed by a doctor at the hospital as being without any signs of violence. The Ministry also indicated that a thorough investigation was conducted at the scene of the recent incident.
Furthermore, according to the prosecutor’s orders, the deceased’s body will undergo an exhumation. This unfortunate incident has been described as a local tragedy. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the event in the Debar region.
