Skopje – The Ministry of Internal Affairs in North Macedonia, led by Panče Todžovski, yesterday issued a strong condemnation of the recent incident involving a bus carrying passengers at the Bulgarian embassy in Skopje. The ministry emphasized the need to halt and not tolerate any further instances of violence. Responding to reports regarding the signing of a Declaration for the Prevention of Violence, Minister Todžovski stated that young people must understand that such behavior is unacceptable.
He asserted that the institutions acted promptly to address the situation, highlighting the importance of preventing future occurrences. “It is logical that violence should not be allowed and should not be tolerated in Macedonia,” Todžovski declared. The Ministry has already implemented a directive aimed at preventing similar incidents.
Following the event, the individual identified as the perpetrator was immediately detained. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. The Ministry’s response underscores a commitment to maintaining public safety and ensuring that acts of violence are unequivocally not tolerated within the country.
