UCIEM Ranks Second Globally for Second Consecutive Year
The Faculty of Economics at the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje (UCIEM) has been ranked second globally according to the Global 2000 methodology, marking the institution’s second year achieving this position. The ranking assesses the quality of educational institutions worldwide based on several key factors.
The Global 2000 methodology evaluates universities on the quality of education, graduate employability, the caliber of faculty, and research output. This ranking system, utilizing the CWUR methodology, recognizes UCIEM’s strong performance. Notably, the University of St.
Cyril and Methodius in Skopje is no longer included in the top 2,000 list, appearing at the 1,990 position in 2024. The university’s ranking has steadily progressed from 1,816th place in 2019, reaching 1,990th in 2024, and was not ranked in 2025 or 2026. Within the Balkan region, the National and Kapodistrian University remains ranked as the best.
This continued success highlights the ongoing commitment to academic excellence at UCIEM, solidifying its position as a leading institution of higher learning among the world’s universities.
