The training sessions for citizens with a B-vehicle permit are underway, and they are also required to operate a motorcycle

New Motorcycle Training Program Launches for Foreign License Holders

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has initiated a training program for foreign citizens permitted to drive motorcycles holding category A1 licenses. This follows the finalization of legal and technical prerequisites for implementing amendments to the law, allowing individuals with a motorcycle driving permit from category B – covering vehicles up to 125 cm³ – to operate these motorcycles. Foreign applicants can now undertake the driving test for motorcycles up to 125 cm³, category A1, with specific limitations: an automatic fuel limiter capped at 11 kW.

Approved driving schools possessing a license for category A1 testing will conduct the training and issue certifications. The four-hour training course focuses on crucial safety topics at a club level, encompassing traffic rules and control procedures. The Ministry emphasized that this initiative aims to streamline the process for foreign motorcycle license holders seeking to operate vehicles within the country.

Citizens interested in participating should consult with authorized driving schools for further details and registration. —
