Skopje Police Conduct Raids, Leading to Arrests and Drug Seizures
On June 16th and 17th, the Skopje police conducted coordinated raids across multiple locations within the city. The operation resulted in the arrest of 11 individuals, ranging in age from 19 to 48, and involved suspects from Skopje and surrounding areas. Those apprehended were connected to locations in Skopje, as well as the villages of Sopishte, Katlanovo, and Cetolepek, situated in the Vratsa region.
During the searches, law enforcement officers discovered quantities of illicit substances, including white powder, white grit, and marijuana. These substances were subsequently seized. The raids were part of an intensified effort by the police to combat the street trade of drugs within the city.
The operation is part of a broader strategy to control drug-related activity. Following the arrests, the individuals will be formally presented with subpoenas and will be directed to appear before the appropriate prosecutor for comprehensive case documentation. The investigation is ongoing.
