Belgrade Parents Convicted in Connection to Kost K. Case

In a ruling following a preliminary trial, Vladimir Kecmanović and his wife, Miljana Kecmanović, were convicted on charges related to the care and supervision of Kost K., the boy involved in the 2023 school shooting. The convictions stem from incidents surrounding the events of May 3, 2023, when Kost K.

caused significant harm, resulting in ten fatalities and six injuries at the “Vladislav Ribnikar” elementary school in Belgrade. Vladimir Kecmanović was sentenced to 14 years and six months imprisonment, with the conviction encompassing charges of neglect and abuse of a minor, alongside accusations against the entire family. Miljana Kecmanović received a sentence of two years and eleven months for similar charges related to the neglect and abuse of a minor.
