The Ministry of the Interior and the Prosecutor’s Office are responsible for the results of the water analysis in Gostivar

During a recent press conference held by The SCM Iakov, representatives from state institutions addressed the ongoing water analysis situation in Gostivar, where over 3,100 samples have been collected. Speaking to the press, the new Minister of Health, Sašo Klevovski, confirmed that the laboratory findings are available and are currently being transferred to the Prosecutor’s Office. Klevovski noted that while the data exists, the public release of the findings is contingent upon authorization from personnel within the Prosecutor’s Office.

He stated that the department must be cleared to disseminate the information officially. The water bridge in Gostivar was closed on the fourth evening, but authorities have indicated they still lack a precise determination regarding the cause of the reported epidemic. The Minister reiterated that the detailed results from the investigation are recorded at the Prosecutor’s Office.

He stressed that this body is responsible for informing the public regarding what specific elements can and cannot be definitively traced. Currently, he stated, he does not possess the final information and is awaiting the official outcomes.
