The Ministry of Health has announced the completion of necessary inspections conducted by the State Sanitary and Health Inspectorate regarding the care provided to patient Stank Mihaylova, aged 19. These inspections covered the various health establishments where Ms. Mihaylova received examination, treatment, and follow-up care.
The investigation specifically targeted the Strumica District Hospital, the Skopje Clinical Hospital, and the University Neurology Clinic. During the inspections, inspectors reviewed comprehensive medical documentation and health certificates. Furthermore, statements were recorded from the healthcare personnel involved in the patient’s care.
Due to the severity of the health complications experienced by Mihaylova, the Ministry has determined that a broader review of her entire medical case and ongoing treatment protocols is warranted. To facilitate this thorough assessment, a dedicated Commission for Comprehensive Review has been established. This expert commission includes specialists such as neurologists and anesthesiologists, among other relevant medical professionals.
The objective of this multi-disciplinary review is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the patient’s medical journey. This action underscores the Ministry’s commitment to maintaining high standards of patient health care. The findings from this expert panel will guide future recommendations concerning the best course of action for Ms.
Mihaylova’s ongoing health management.
