Skopje, North Macedonia – The Museum of Macedonian Struggle hosted today’s inaugural session dedicated to formulating the National Tourism Strategy for the period 2027-2032. The event, attended by Minister of Culture and Tourism Zoran Ljutkov, marked a key step in developing a forward-looking approach to the country’s tourism sector. Minister Ljutkov emphasized the significance of initiating the strategy’s preparation, highlighting its role in fostering a modern, sustainable, and competitive tourism industry.

He stated that tourism is intended to be a primary driver of economic growth, with the goal of generating new employment opportunities, attracting foreign investment, and enhancing North Macedonia’s visibility on the global stage. Recognizing the evolving landscape of travel, Ljutkov underscored the importance of adapting to global shifts, including digitalization and the changing needs of contemporary tourists.
