According to Stojanče Angelov, director of the Directorate for Fire and Salvation (DFS), efforts to control the ongoing fire continue throughout the night. The DFS, in coordination with the Central Directorate for Management of Crises, reported that since 6:00 AM, an increased number of teams have been mobilized to address the blaze within the municipality of Kavadarci. The response is currently managing operations across two distinct fronts.
The initial incident occurred in the village of Drenovo. The response effort there was substantial, involving multiple agencies. Personnel included local Kavadarci firefighters, who deployed one tank and two workers.
Police officers from the municipality contributed one pepper spray unit and four personnel. Furthermore, the National Fire Brigade provided a truck, a jeep, and four additional workers. Support was also provided by the Public Transport Company’s firefighters, who were equipped with two pepper spray units and a “Lada Niva.”
A second significant intervention took place in the village of Rajevci.
For this location, the Kavadarci firefighters responded with two pepper spray units and one “Lada Niva.”
These reports confirm the extensive mobilization of resources by the local and national emergency services. The coordinated efforts of the firefighters, supported by the operational command structure of the directorate, are focused on containing the fire across both sites.
