Aleksandar Nikolovski, the vicepremier, recently attended a political gathering in Novo Selo organized by the Opština committee of VMRO-DPMNE. The event was attended by numerous representatives from the Macedonian diaspora, alongside local party members and supporters. In a subsequent social media announcement, Nikolovski stated that the gathering served as a reminder of the “splendid energy, a positive atmosphere and patriotism” that characterized the discussions.
These discussions focused on various projects intended to enhance the standard of living within the country. During his remarks, Nikolovski highlighted the opening of a direct airline route between Geneva and Skopje. He suggested that this new connection would substantially facilitate both communication links and the reception of international visitors to Macedonia.
Furthermore, he reported that efforts were underway concerning a project to construct an express road connecting Ravadinovo. The attendance of the diaspora at such events underscores the continued connection between the Macedonian community abroad and domestic political life. The focus remains on tangible improvements, such as infrastructure development, to bolster the nation’s economic and social fabric.
