Administrative Court Upholds Philological Faculty Student’s Enrollment
Skopje – An administrative court has ruled in favor of a student, upholding the Philological faculty’s decision to enroll him in the third cycle of his studies. The ruling follows an appeal against the earlier decision by the Academic Council and the Dean of the Philological faculty, which had reduced the student’s doctoral studies. The case stems from concerns raised by the State Inspectorate for Education (SIP) regarding the enrollment status of students at the University of Skopje’s Philological faculty.
Following the SIP’s investigation, it was discovered that several students, originally slated for master’s and doctoral programs, had had their enrollments revoked. This situation left these students without a recognized educational institution to which they could remit tuition payments. The Ministry of Education and Science responded with a letter to affected students.
The administrative court’s decision now allows the student to proceed with his third-cycle studies within the philological faculty. This outcome represents a key step in addressing the broader issues surrounding student enrollment and academic qualifications at the faculty. The student is now enrolled in the third cycle of the philological studies.
