During a speech delivered on August 2nd, marking National Liberation Day, the President of the Assembly, Antonio Milošoski, stated that the demographic health of Macedonia represents its most critical contemporary challenge. Milošoski posited that the vitality of the nation depends on its populace.
He questioned the preservation of cultural heritage if there were no children to honor the sacrifices of the Ilindenites, or if there were no young people to speak and pass down the Macedonian language. He suggested that the existence of educational institutions, such as schools, requires a continuous student body. According to the President, the true struggle for the nation is not defined by weaponry or conflict, but rather by the fundamental responsibility of building families and cultivating responsible citizenship.
