The attacks targeted several members of the party, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries. According to police reports, the violence included setting vehicles on fire in the northern port city. The initial attacks were followed by a third incident where cars and motorcycles were burned.
One of the vehicles set ablaze belonged to Aphrodite Nestos, a candidate affiliated with the New Democracy party in the parliamentary elections. All injured victims were transported to the scene of the latest attack, where the arson occurred. Authorities stated that the coordinated nature of the attacks suggested targeted action against the political group.
