Iran warned against US targets in Kuwait and Bahrain. A high Iranian military official issued a sharp warning to the SAD and its allies, telling them that Iran could “turn the entire Basra region into a powder keg” as long as the security situation in the Ormuz Strait is not resolved. The SAD was warned to take action as soon as possible, as the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that the Strait was “closed for shipping” as a response to the SAD’s new air attacks, claiming that the maritime situation was normal.
“You are making the holy Ormuz region unsafe for you, and from the territory of the entire Iran,” said the commander of the air force of the Revolutionary Guard, Seyed Majid Mousavi, as he announced the matter in a public statement.
