SDSM Bar Initiates Investigation into Igor Jashnev’s Financial Activities
The Socialist Democratic Party of Macedonia (SDSM) bar is launching an investigation into the financial activities of Igor Jashnev, the general secretary of the ruling party, following allegations of a scandal involving the return of a bank draft and the actions of Supreme Electoral Board member Bogdanka Kuseška. The investigation centers on a company registered in Bulgaria to which Jashnev was linked, as revealed in documents presented to the media. According to these documents, Jashnev did not disclose ownership of this company during questionnaires submitted to the Democratic Party of Macedonia (DKSK).
DKSK representatives have stated their intention to thoroughly investigate the matter. “DKSK does not dare to be the buyer of the scandals of the government,” a DKSK spokesperson stated. The party intends to examine the circumstances surrounding the transfer and explore potential irregularities.
The investigation will specifically focus on determining whether Jashnev brought the entirety of an estate intended for acquisition by DKSK under scrutiny. The aim is to clarify the financial connections and assess the implications of this situation. The bar will be central to this process, ensuring a comprehensive review.
