PREVIOUS DEBT IS A WAY OF WAR FROM THE PREVIOUS GOVERNMENT OF 700 million euros

The Ministry of Finance has settled the 2020 euro budget. Prime Minister Vladeta Hristijan Miskovski addressed the implications of this action for the national debt. He stated that approximately 700 million euros, which were allocated by the previous government in 2020, have been returned ahead of their scheduled repayment dates.

To date, roughly 4.6 billion euros have been serviced or reprogrammed over the last two years. Miskovski noted that the current debt and budget structures originate from a seven-year period governed by the SDSM and DUI coalition, representing the largest portion of the time frame discussed. He emphasized that the repayment of these budgets allows the government to simultaneously release funds for critical vaccine and infrastructure projects that the public is anticipating.

The statement confirms the ongoing efforts to manage the national finances by addressing past fiscal obligations. The process involves systematically servicing and restructuring the financial commitments made under the previous administration. This action is framed by the Prime Minister as a measure supporting current development goals, ensuring that necessary funds can be directed toward public health and infrastructure improvements while managing the accumulated debt.
