Reconstruction of Ohrid Airport Nears Completion

Ohrid, North Macedonia – The reconstruction of “St. Apostle Pavle” Airport in Ohrid has reached 65% completion, according to officials. The project, overseen by the replacement Vlada president, transport minister Aleksandar Nikolovski, and the general director of TAV Macedonia, aims to modernize the facility and improve operational efficiency.

The construction involves the removal of an additional 4,500 square meters of functional space, designed to enhance the comfort and workflow for pilots, airport personnel, police, and administrative staff. The project prioritizes convenience, efficiency, and profitability for pilots while also improving working conditions across the airport. Notably, construction is proceeding without disrupting airport operations.

Officials stated that the completed work will result in new facilities for arrivals and departures, significantly improving the overall experience at the Ohrid airport. The anticipated completion date is within two months, at which point the airport will be fully renovated.
