Open call for the 2026 Youth Welfare Award

The Ministry of Social Policy, Demography and Youth, in partnership with the National Youth Council of Macedonia (NJCM) and the OSCE Mission in Skopje, has initiated the nomination process for the 2026 Youth Achievement Award. This established recognition serves to honor young individuals and organizations that have demonstrated significant contributions toward fostering positive societal change within the community. The primary objective of the award is to acknowledge and celebrate groups and individuals actively engaged in the development of the youth population, promoting robust social cohesion, and stimulating sustained civic activism.

The official call for nominations signals the commencement of submissions for the upcoming cycle. The recognition program is structured across several categories, designed to encompass the breadth of efforts contributing to societal betterment. This year, the recognition will be distributed across three distinct areas, including a specific individual category designated for “Young, Peace and Security.”

The establishment of this award underscores a commitment to empowering the next generation and highlighting models of proactive citizenship.

By providing a formal platform for recognition, the initiative aims to encourage further investment in youth-led development projects and strengthen the bonds within Macedonian society. The nomination period provides a formal mechanism for stakeholders to submit evidence of impactful work in the realms of peacebuilding, social development, and community empowerment.
